ABE project
Networking with other stakeholders in the area and invest in innovative projects are a duty. Be partner of ABE project is a must for Metech.
ABE project seeks to solve problems caused by vibrations from main engines on merchant and cruise vessels and their harmful impact on marine fauna through noise produced by the hull.

Metech, from its large experience and know-how in machine designing and manufacturing, developed a scale prototype currently used for research purposes into labs of the Trieste University Department of Chemistry.
A high impact project to investigate innovative and competitive solutions for marine technology sector and protection of the marine environment.
ABE
ABE considers the interconnection of the acoustic, vibrational and chemical emissions that characterize both merchant and cruise ships, generated by the structure of the engine and the burnt gases, with the aim of researching design methodologies and abatement technologies aimed at offering the sector a system of new services and products. In fact, the project intends to research innovative simulation / optimization methods, to reduce the noise generated by the engine and the realization of a combined catalytic / scrubber technology to reduce emissions. Budget: € 1,191,826.53; Amount financed: € 875.972.99
